About the team

The Enterprise Payments Professional Services team at FIS is looking to add an energetic, talented and experienced Practice Manager to lead our growing pipeline of Implementations in Americas. The Professional Services team provides our clients with customized solutions to meet their demanding business needs, including application development, testing, solution design and consulting.

What you will be doing

  • You will bring financial acumen to the Americas Enterprise Payments' project management practice. This includes monthly / quarterly / Annual forecasts, Demand & Capacity planning and overall financial health of the project.

  • You will provide mentoring / coaching to the project practitioners and work towards more predictability and dependability to the overall practice.

  • You will be building and provide direction and day-to-day operations to Project and Program Managers. Scope may include technical and/or non-technical programs for an FIS segment or division.

  • You will define and develop project / program management best practices, processes and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals.

  • You will partner with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria.

  • You will provide executive management with forecasts of project completion and program status.

  • You Supervise project and program managers to ensure all projects within the scope of the PMO are delivered within defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines

  • Knowledge of the industry project management best practices, i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

  • Knowledge of various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles, e.g., conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and the correct project application

  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma

  • Knowledge of financial services industry
