Financial Operations Accountant (Hybrid) Create value at TC Transcontinental At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.We are currently looking for a Financial Operations Accountant to perform financial analysis and general accounting functions for TC Transcontinental Lenexa and Clinton facilities as well as TC Transcontinental Packaging sector. This position will work closely with the Financial Operations team in the plants and across the sector. Major areas of responsibility will be consolidating and reporting of monthly results, performing monthly closing activities, and completing special sector projects. This position will report directly to the Financial Operations Multi-Site Controller with dotted line to the Finance Operations Director, USA. This position is a Hybrid role. Support routine accounting functions (balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, Head Office P&Ls, month-end close for US and sometimes Canadian Hubs) Lead quarterly Bad Debt and Obsolete Inventory consolidation and reconciliation process Assist with corporate-related chargeback journal entries (i.e. Medical / Dental / Workers Compensation) Assist plant and head office teams in various daily accounting-related activities (coding invoices, managing R&D invoicing, etc.) Support procurement activities such as monthly tracking and reporting of supplier rebates Complete ad-hoc projects for operational finance at the plant and hub level (i.e. R&D Credits, Safety Awards, etc.) Backfill for colleagues in cases of absence When your expertise drives us. 3-5 + years of experience in accounting Solid understanding of GAAP Excellent organizational, analytical skills and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects at once Experience in general accounting Experience in manufacturing accounting, an asset Proficient in the use of computer hardware, spreadsheets, and word processing applications Proficiency in ERP, People Soft and Infor-M3 software, an asset When our contribution invents the future.
