Post Doctoral.Post Doctoral.Associate - Moatti Med-Otolaryngology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24008213) The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research approved by the Principal Investigator (PI) as well as independent research in cell biology and drug delivery. Cell biology skills: Cell culture 2D & 3D Transfection Cell sorting Plasmid preparation Stem cells Molecular biology skills: RNA extraction PCR RNA sequencing Excellent written and oral communication skills (incl. track record of publications) Ability to work independently and collaboratively Preferred Education and Experience: Extracellular vesicles cAMP assay IP3 assay Mass spectrometry Metabolomics Data analysis Organ of Corti dissection Perilymph sampling Image processing Leadership and project management skills Responsibilities: Research: Performing research related to the delivery of the therapy-related substance via extracellular vesicles and other methods to the inner ear, as well as conducting independent research involving hearing loss prevention/treatment. Working with pigs and small animals is required. Mentorship: Performs project management and mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students. Publication: Publishes results in peer-reviewed journals and through conference participation. Required Education and Experience: Appropriate PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
