You will conduct exploratory research on frontier topics in the areas of computational optics that will help reduce pattern placement errors in wafer alignment and overlay metrology. Ideal candidate should demonstrate required skillsets and competencies with a highly motivated self-driven mindset.

Role and responsibilities
  • Develop new software functions and optimization algorithm in optical metrology simulation package
  • Script based FDTD simulation using MATLAB and C on Unix environment
  • Design/create/perform unit tests to validate and quantify performance improvement
  • Promptly share new findings and results with team members and cross-functional groups by means of well-written reports and oral presentations
  • Ideal candidates should be comfortable working independently on scientific research problems self-driven by curiosities
