Cyber Defense Incident Responder

Spectra Tech is in need of an Cyber Defense Incident Responder for a position in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Description:

This is a 12 month contract with one option year. This position will work a hybrid schedule (onsite and Telework). The CDIR has to have at least an active L clearance (Q is preferred).

Job Duties include the following: 1. Coordinate and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve cyber defense incidents. 2. Correlate Incident Data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediation. 3. Perform Analysis of log files from a variety of sources (e.g. individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system [IDS] logs) to identify possible threats to network security. 4. Perform cyber defense incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact. Identifying the specific vulnerability, and making reccomentations that enable expeditious remediation. 5. Perform real-time cyber defense incident handling (e.g. forensic collection, intrustion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support deployable incident Response Teams (IRTs). 6. Receive and analyze network alerts from various resources within the enterprise and determine possible cause of such alerts. 7. Track and document cyber defense incidents and initial detection through final resolution. 8. Coordinate with intelligence analysts to correlate threat assessment data. 9. Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting. 10. Coordinate incident response functions.

Educational Requirements:

Need at least an Associates (10-15 years experience) and Pantex is looking for Levels 4 - 6

Experience Level:

Minimum PHD -2 to 5 years or more experience, Masters 5 to 10 years or more experience, Bachelors 10 to 15 years or more experience, and Associates 15 to 20 years or more experience
