Job Description
Are you passionate about taking your career to the next level? Terracon is growing, and we are hiring another corporate recruiter to join our talent acquisition team. We are an engineering consulting company, so candidates with this background are highly preferred. This is a hybrid position where you will work from home 4 days a week and meet in the corporate office on Tuesday's to reconnect with the team. Our corporate office is located in Olathe, KS.

This is an interesting role where you will help coordinate and grow our recruiting programs, such as early careers and internal mobility, and apprenticeship programs. You will be expected to develop strong relationships with hiring managers and assist those offices with recruiting best practices, and source future employee-owners. You will also identify technicians needed to support large projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Working with the Recruiting Programs Manager, help administer early career programs such as the intern and new grad programs.
  • Help offices plan and execute on college hiring strategies
  • Help monitor and grow current intern program, ensuring material is fresh and engaging and offices are providing excellent experiences for the interns.
  • Help evolve and grow our new grad programs by tracking progress of participants; assisting in the design and development of program material.
  • Coach and consult with operations on recruiting best practices and sourcing plans.
  • Train hiring managers on applicant tracking system.
  • Assist senior recruiters by sourcing key talent
  • Works independently, using industry knowledge and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and solves problems of moderately complex scope.
  • Source, screen, interview, and close out technicians needed for large projects.
  • Develops and directs implementation of recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified applicants, evaluates applicant strengths compared to position description and competencies.
  • Develops advertising campaigns and programs.
  • Understanding of basic internet search tools and industry resources.
  • Supports and contributes to department recruiting related projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of company industry, related industry, business supported and market demographics.
  • Ensure regulatory and company policy compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and (4) years of professional sourcing and recruiting experience in engineering consulting firm or related corporate environment and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of (8) years' related experience.
  • Experience developing or managing recruiting programs such as intern or new grad programs.
  • Experience with applicant tracking system required (Brass Ring preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple creative sourcing techniques for active and passive applicants.
  • Familiarity with social networking and posting positions on (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and related).
  • Experienced in developing and executing recruiting assignments for entry-mid level positions.
  • Ability and experience in marketing and conveying a company's goals/directives to potential candidates.
  • Possess strong written and oral skills for verbal communication.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred skills:
  • CIR (Certified Internet Researcher), LinkedIn Certified Recruiter or related preferred PHR preferred
