Summary of Position
The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire is currently seeking applicants for an assistant professor tenure-track faculty position in Exercise Science. The ideal candidate will have the potential to establish a competitive research program involving human subjects and contribute to a culture of equity, diversity, and belonging. This is a 9-month appointment with an August 2025 start date.

The mission of the Department of Kinesiology is to create, share, and apply knowledge in the promotion of health, physical activity, sport, and well-being. We achieve this through high quality teaching and mentoring of our students, conducting scholarly activity, and engaging in community outreach. Our programs purposefully blend theory, research, and practice to support the professional needs of our students in all stages of their careers. The successful candidate will be expected to 1) maintain a productive trajectory of impactful research, including extramural grants, 2) teach in B.S. and M.S. programs with a primary contribution to courses in research methods, kinetic anatomy, and fundamentals of kinesiology and biomechanics, 3) willing to support a developing doctoral program 4) supervise undergraduate and graduate research, 5) support relevant departmental, college, university, and professional service, and 6) work cooperatively with diverse colleagues and students. Salary w includes a comprehensive benefits package of medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree in Exercise Science or closely related field by the start date. Also, the candidates should have evidence of an emerging line of research, demonstrate potential for securing extramural funding, and show strong teaching and mentoring potential.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
* Candidate with post-doctoral training
* Candidate with a research agenda that aligns with the department and college mission and are willing to collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Kinesiology and across the University.
