ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with students, staff, and parents, and possess positive public communication skills and written skills. Candidate must be an organized and efficient team player who can contribute to the smooth operation of a busy office. The position is primarily lunchroom and recess supervision, but will also include health room assistance, operating office machines, typing, student management and supervision, reception desk duties, main phone operation, mail distribution and other duties, as assigned by an administrator. Qualifications 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Red Cross and CPR certified (preferred) 3 Dependable work record. 4. Positive work attitude. 5. Ability to supervise and work effectively with students. 6. Ability to get along and communicate well with staff, students, and the public. 7. Must be flexible and able to work independently. 8. Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines. 9. Previous reception desk experience is a plus. 10. Previous office clerical experience is a plus. 11. Must exhibit excellent oral, written, and organizational skills. 12. Must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and follow procedures. 13. Must maintain confidentiality. 14. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 15. Has an understanding of students ages 10-13 and their social and emotional needs. 16. Teaching license not required but preferred. 17. Helping direct morning student drop-off and supervision in classrooms while a teacher is teaching virtually.
